Why Oblique.
In 1975, Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt printed a deck of cards called Oblique Strategies. Each card held a single sideways prompt — “use an old idea,” “honor thy error as a hidden intention,” “what would your closest friend do?” You drew a card when you were stuck — not to solve the problem, but to unstick the thinking.
We named the company after the deck because that’s how we think about building products. The best tools don’t try to replace how you work — they come in sideways, fit into what you’re already doing, and quietly make the whole thing smarter. Each product is a card you draw when the business is stuck.
